Services

This counseling approach is rooted in the authority of Scripture, offering guidance not just for behavioral change, but for heart-level transformation (Hebrews 4:12). Sessions are designed to help individuals confront and overcome life-dominating struggles—such as addiction, trauma, anger, grief, anxiety, and identity issues—through the truth and grace found in Jesus Christ.
Residents will meet one-on-one with a biblical counselor who walks alongside them in love, accountability, and prayer. Each session explores how to apply God’s Word to real-life situations, encourages spiritual growth, and equips individuals to build new, healthy patterns of thinking and living (Ephesians 4:22-24).
Assessments, Scripture-based assignments, journaling, and weekly check-ins may be incorporated into the counseling process. The ultimate goal is to see lives restored, minds renewed, and hearts aligned with God’s purpose—so each individual can walk in lasting freedom and kingdom impact (Galatians 5:1).
Cost of Services:
This service is contracted through the provider and covered as part of the Crossroads Sober Living program partnership. There is no additional out-of-pocket cost for residents currently enrolled and approved through the program.

In these sessions, the individual is encouraged to examine the condition of their heart, renew their mind, and align their choices with God’s will (Romans 12:2). Whether addressing issues such as anxiety, grief, anger, identity, past trauma, or spiritual stagnation, biblical counseling seeks to uncover root issues and bring them under the redemptive power of Christ.
The process invites individuals to experience God’s grace, healing, and direction, while being equipped with tools for transformation—such as Scripture study, prayer disciplines, biblical journaling, and heart accountability. Counseling sessions are guided by the belief that true change happens from the inside out and that lasting freedom is found not in self-help, but in Christ alone (Galatians 5:1).
Biblical assessments or heart-mapping tools may be used to better understand the individual’s spiritual and emotional patterns, providing clarity and insight for the journey ahead. Ultimately, biblical counseling calls individuals to grow in Christlikeness, walk in truth, and live out their God-given purpose with confidence and hope.

Rooted in the authority of Scripture, counseling sessions guide individuals through a process of heart renewal, helping them uncover the root causes of destructive behaviors and replace them with biblical truth (Romans 12:2). Issues such as trauma, anger, guilt, shame, identity, anxiety, and broken relationships are addressed with compassion and wisdom, pointing each person to the healing and hope found in Christ alone.
Each session is one-on-one, confidential, and focused on helping participants apply God's Word to everyday life. Practical tools such as Scripture journaling, prayer strategies, personalized assignments, and recovery-focused devotionals may be used to encourage growth and lasting change.
Cost of Services:
$20 per hour
Paid by participant at the time of session
CashApp, PayPal, or in-person payment options available
Biblical counseling is not just about overcoming the past—it's about becoming the person God has called you to be. These sessions offer a safe, grace-filled space to grow in faith, rebuild character, and walk in freedom (2 Corinthians 5:17).

In counseling, the husband and wife work together to address issues such as communication, conflict resolution, intimacy, and spiritual growth, all while seeking God's will for their marriage. The presence of both partners reflects the biblical principle that they are “one flesh” (Genesis 2:24) and must actively participate in nurturing their relationship.
Biblical counseling uses Scripture as its foundation, guiding couples to embody Christ-like love, forgiveness, humility, and service toward one another. The Better Love Assessment is often incorporated to provide insights into each partner's unique needs and relational dynamics, helping the couple grow in understanding and empathy, but both must be present to fully benefit from the process.
By ensuring both husband and wife are present, the counseling process mirrors the biblical call for unity in marriage, allowing them to rebuild their relationship on the solid foundation of God's Word.

My family was welcomed with open arms and accepted immediately. I have never once in the last 2 years felt unwanted or ashamed for my shortcomings. Pastor John always has a way of teaching the word that everyone can understand. The members at Rise Up Ministries are my second family and have truly been there for me through so so many things. Come and see, I promise you will be accepted as you are!!
